Miss Shelley has been dancing for over 30 years, and started
To The Pointe Ballet Studio in 2009. She has extensive experience teaching all styles of dance.
Her training is primarily in ballet, and she studied under teachers with the Orlando Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Tucson, and Theatre Ballet at BYU. Her ballet education has been a combination of both the Cecchetti and French methods. She has also trained extensively in tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and musical theater. She has performed with senior dance companies in both Atlanta and Tucson and continues to dance with the North Carolina Dance Project. She has a passion for dance as an art form and loves to dance it as well as teach it. Ballet is by far her favorite and remains the basis of all her technique, teaching, and choreography.
Miss Shelley is a mom to 4 beautiful children and loves being a mother and a teacher of young children. She enjoys passing on her love for classical dance to the next generation.
